How we check

Every fact on DoorToGood comes from the official page of the organization that runs the program. We never guess: when a page does not say something, we leave it out.

Two readers

Since October 6, 2026, each new listing, and each change to an amount, a deadline or a rule, is read on its official page by two separate readers working apart. A new listing goes on the site, and a change is made, only when both agree.

The readers are AI tools working under our written rules. People set the rules, review what is flagged and decide questions of faith.

The official sentence

For 476 of 502 listings, every amount, percentage, age limit and date we show sits inside an exact sentence we stored from the official page, with the page's address and the day we read it. We add the rest every day.

When we read a web page again and the sentence is no longer on it, the fact is hidden and the listing says "check the official page" until it is read again. A page that is gone goes to our daily check.

2633 stored sentences in all, today.

The checked date

Every listing shows "Checked by us" with the month we last read its official page. Once we have read the page's own date, it also shows "Source updated" with that date, or "not shown" when the page gives none. Closing dates are exact, with the time when the page gives one.

The corrections log

Every correction is listed by month, with what changed and the official page it was read from. Nothing is deleted: a program that ended stays on the site, marked closed. See something wrong? Tap "Report a problem" on its page.

130 corrections in the last 30 days.

Read this in your language

This site is in English for now. Your phone can show it in your language.

On Android, in Chrome: tap the three dots at the top, then Translate.

On iPhone, in Safari: tap the two letters aA in the address bar, then Translate to your language.

The amounts, dates and phone numbers stay the same. If something reads oddly, the English is the checked version.
