If you have a physical or mental impairment, you can deduct from your income what you paid for supports you need to work, go to school or do grant-funded research. This includes things like attendant care, note-taking, tutoring, job coaching, reading services, real-time captioning, voice recognition software and service animals. This lowers the tax you pay.
