Independent Legal Advice for Survivors (up to 8 hours of free legal advice, Ontario) is a free service run by the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic for victims and survivors who are at least 16 years old and live in Ontario and/or the offence happened in Ontario. Survivors of intimate partner violence, human trafficking or sexual offences may get up to 8 hours of free legal advice by phone or video, plus counselling support. It does not include legal representation in court.
Who qualifies
Victims and survivors who are at least 16 years old and live in Ontario and/or the offence happened in Ontario. You do not have to report the crime to the police.
