A free full-day high school program at Jessie's Centre on Parliament Street for pregnant and parenting youth, where you earn compulsory and elective high school credits from grades 9 to 12 with an individual education plan, and get ready to go back to a mainstream or alternative school or on to post-secondary education. Child care is offered while you use the centre's programs, and Jessie's gives 2 Presto tickets at each visit. Jessie's Scholarship program also offers high school graduates going on to post-secondary education a scholarship valued at $2,000.

Who qualifies

Youth who think they are pregnant, are pregnant or are parenting, and are 22 years old or younger at intake; the scholarship is for high school graduates going on to post-secondary education.     You can also drop by 205 Parliament Street during opening hours first. At your intake appointment you meet a counsellor, who explains the services and gives you a tour of the centre. Tell your counsellor you want the School Program: there are 12 spaces, and the counsellor tells you more so you can see if this school fits your goals. Once you finish high school and are going on to post-secondary education, ask your counsellor about Jessie's Scholarship program.
