Monthly money for families who adopt or take legal custody of a child in extended society care in Ontario. For a child 8 or older, or two or more siblings, it is $1,035 a month for each child until age 21. For a child 7 or younger who is not in a sibling group, it is $475 a month for each child until age 18. Extra help for a child's medical and other special needs may be given case by case.
